Hi, I'd like to help. I am an artist and musician (composer / guitarist / keyboardist) looking for good discussion on celtic art and marketing my own works. I have some resources on symbolism that I can share.

You are definately allowed to market anything Celtic (or related) here. If you need help let me know. Love your art. I'd love to hear your music! You can post that here also. I believe I have it set up so it can't be downloaded unless you want it to be.

Finally, a site for celtic art symbolism with some beef to it!

I'm Moire Sayre, and I'm a musician (singer & flute player) and budding storyteller interested in getting into a network of like-minded Celtic loving folk. I'm out in Texas. I know of a few artists in the area, and the Irish/Scottish Festivals that come through North Texas every year. Thanks for the welcome and the good work on your site!

Thank you for the compliment about the site. I think you are right... you can do a lot here, so it's pretty beefed up. If there is something you would like to see from the site, let me know.

I would love to hear your music... and even to hear from the other artists in the area if they happen to be interested.

When & where exactly are the Irish/Scottish Festivals, and what are some cool things (you can remember) that happens there?

Hello to my Celtic brothers and sisters -

My name is Mary I live in New Jersey, USA. I love love love Celtic Music and art so I am excited to see musicians and artists on here. I have been selling Irish and Celtic jewelry and wedding rings online for the past 10 years. I don't make it myself I am an importer so I do get to go over to Ireland once in a while which is great.

Thanks for the invite! The site is great!

Dia dhaoibh a chairde,

My name is Oisín Mac Suibhne, and I'm a glass artist from San Antonio, Texas. I've only been working in glass for the past few years, but it's been a continually exciting experience. Been drawing knots and spirals since at least middle-school, though. Only in the past year have I been playing around that much with zoomorphic designs...and I'm really relishing it, frustrating as it sometime is to develop a unique enough style. Almost a year ago today, I made the move to Tacoma, WA...and have had only a few regrets. Up until recently, I was playing bodhrán full-time in a Seattle-area Irish band, but now I'm back to glassing. I have a little Irish, and I sing a little sean-nós.

Hmm. I'm better at answering questions than volunteering information, it seems.

le meas,
Oisín

Hi! I'm Barb from Michigan, USA, and I'm glad to be here. Looks like a very interesting place to be!Hoping to learn a lot more about my Celtic heritage, which is Irish, Scots, & Welsh, from what I've been told. Thanks for the invite!

My husband and I love the Celtic influence. It started with some music we heard years and years ago, then the passion to visit Ireland someday (which we did two years ago). We always joke that the thimble-full of Irish we both have in us is what caused it.

I connected with this site after googling "Celtic Cross Tattoos" and finding Shane's work (beautiful). For Valentine's day I had my first Celtic Cross Tattoo done (brother, husband and son all beat me to the punch). I sent a picture of the finished tat to Shane who was gracious and honest with his opinions and input which caused me to connect here.

So, hello and it will be fun to lurk around the site and see what all is here. :)
Becky

p.s. We live in NW Wyoming and every year there is a Celtic Festival held in our community that people from all over come to. We've only been able to attend once but it was a hoot.

I was thinking about my heritage after I left my introduction and forgot my mom told me her Father's line could be traced back to Mary Queen of Scots. I guess that gives me some connecting point with my Celtic roots.
