About moi

Music is a Universal Language, and the greatest gift to be able to share in this small world. Thank you for sharing yours with mine!

I have a Bachelor's degree in Music from Hampshire College, and a certification in Violin from the New England Conservatory of Music. I can offer extensive performance experience in a variety of settings from classical to world music, having performed in a wide variety of venues from Carnegie Hall to the Great Pyramids of Egypt.

Hear me play:

* With Woodkerne - Fiddle & Bouzouki
* With Celticado - Celtic Fiddle
* With Crossing The Pond - Irish & Scottish Fiddle

I am available for hire. I can assemble any of the above bands for any size performance, wedding or special event. Email me for details.

I opened my teaching studio in 1986, and have been offering Celtic music lessons on violin, mandolin and guitar since then. Go here for lesson details.

That is awsome!! I started in school and have been playing ever since. I haven't had any formal training per say but I do pretty well. I've had a couple master classes but that's it.

Hi Adam,
First off, happy belated birthday! Hope it was a good one.
Two daughters with the same name? That's different! If you name your daughter the same, I assure you she'll have a permanent conversation starter (and most people will mispronounce it). I love my name though and always have. Most people also seem to recognize the Ceili spelling more, which is the Irish variation versus my Scottish spelling. There is even an alternate Gaelic spelling- Caollaidhe which comes from the name/word Caol, meaning "slender." Caol is the Gaelic form of the name Kyle, which is ironically my brother's name... so I guess you could same we sort of have the same name and it was completely accidental!

I'm not originally from Mass, but I have been out to the Berkshires a few times before when a set of grandparents lived there. I like it out there more than the North Shore, but I love being near the water.
