Meaning beind Gaelic worded Rings

Just thought I would give a little explanation of some of the meaning behind some of the rings we craft. All of these rings were designed by Master Jeweler, Joe Kelly, here in Dublin, Ireland. The full range include;

MO ANAM CARA - My Soul Mate: These rings have "mo anam cara" embossed on them and is pronounced "muh onum kara", when translated means "my soul friend". Between each word is the Claddagh symbol of a crowned heart held between two hands.

GRA GO DEO - Love Forever: These rings have… Continue

Spelling

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to mention (because it has already been pointed out to me:)) that JEWLERY is spelt slightly differently here in Ireland. We spell it with an extra "l" and "e" so it looks like JEWELLERY.

Hey there Lisa! My name is Renee and I am fairly new to this site. I am half Irish and currently am searching out some heritage for my husband's Irish heritage as well. We both hope to get to Ireland soon in the future! It is beautiful from what we have seen on television and in books, etc. I just viewed some of your jewelry. I love it!!! I most definitely will be back to purchase some. I have a huge love for jewelry, but especially Celtic jewelry! Hope to become friends here. PEACE! Renee

Hi Hi HI!!!!!
I hope all is well with you! I'm sorry for taking SO long to be in touch. It has been very hectic here since I came back from visiting you! I promise I will take some time tonight to respond 'properly' to your note. Say hello to my wee friend Zoe for me. ;-)
Talk to you soon.

Hi Lisa,
How have you been? Did you get all your old paperwork done? I just went through a pile of it myself... and thought of you. :)

Peace be the journey,
Shane Clark

Thank you Lisa for the thoughtful discount offer. How soon must I take advantage of it? What a swell celebration of our friendship.

A recent conversation you and I had about spelling triggered my post elsewhere today:

I got a real kick out of a posting conversation per clever, MsBeeJay's Blog topic via Start Xchange forum! Do I dare mention our spell checkers need to know the deliberate misspellings that never end per Internet Marketing fad/link creation, temptations and of satisfy the domain availability. Most of these have become appropriate enough to tell the spell checker to add this, that and the other. How reliable is it by then, next year? Pitiful!

Jewelry in Ireland is spelled Jewellery! So, by example a www.celticfriendsnetwork.com needs this entered their spell checker for speed, among others. Whatever. A spell checker was never expected to accept Company names either and many are wilder now. Oh well, huh?

Shall we talk about user names next? Nah.

Hey people, Rednecks in Georgia can still buy off the Internet and seriously, many can't spell right but, they get their products.

New dictionaries, (not old) have slang words now and perfectly authorized. Oops. I can't imagine what's next about another upgrade.

Lisa, YOU are Appreciated here at Celtic Friends Network!

Graphite Wolf Drawing by Shane ClarkI'm glad for your post. I never knew that's how it's spelled in Ireland. No wonder I spell weird sometimes.

(slight chortle) I've told people for years that I can spell in English and in Texan. They don't believe me and I just tell them to look it up in the Oxford Dictionay (the massive 2 volume one). So spell it anyway you wish and piffle on people who are stuck in one way only.
