This is a group for members who feel that the contributions of Celtic Networks deserve to be paid forward. It has to be something big, and it has to be something that they couldn't do for themselves.

The Domeck family I am a part of (distant, distant relatives) is from the Kentucky area. If his family traces back to Kentucky then yes we may be related but I'm not sure. My grandfather became an americanized citizen in the 1920's and our family (fathers side) is originally from Greece.

My mothers side of the family traces back to Ireland and Scotland if you go back to the 1600 and 1700's. They married into the Cherokee Indian tribe up in Tennessee. An Irishman married a Cherokee princess in ther 1600's and then in the early 1700's a Scot married yet another Cherokee princess and that is the roots of my mothers grandmother's great grandmother and grandfather.

Based on geneology research done by two uncles, their combined 14 children and my younger brother over a period of 20+ years.

I read your comments and agree. Also hope to read some of your work.Like you,not all my work is Celtic-some is sociopolitical, some Celtic, and a lot is love related.
I was fortunate for the time i lived in Chicago where there are many pubs and musical entertainments that are celtic. But down here you have to go to a large city in order to experience anything of the sort, and it isnt enough bang for your buck, either.
