Welcome! I see you play the bodhran. I have been wanting to learn that myself. I love your stain glass. I absolutely LOVE stain glass. I will be checking out more on your site. Again, welcome to CFN!
Hi Oisin,
Got some information I think would help take you to the next level with the sales of your works. It will take a bit of work, but it's so easy to do. I'm very impressed with it myself. No installing stuff on your site. Simply put in html code for each product and poof. Works great.
Recently I got signed up and created an affiliate program for my Celtic Tattoo Art. What it is, is a program that allows others to promote my art and earn a percentage. I give a generous 40% comission, but you can give however much you like. (I'll definately sign up and post you across hundreds of sites.)
Anyway, check out the link (and sign up) so you can see what it's about and how easy it is to use. Don't forget you have a friend here that will help you if you need it k. I sincerely believe this will help take you to the next level.
If you have any questions or whatever feel free to contact me.
Peace be the journey,
Shane Clark
Oh, they pay me if you sign up for the business account (has to be on sign up) so if you have any questions about it contact me first so I can send you $10.00 of the $30.00 that it costs to sign up back to you. Otherwise I won't be able to send it back to you.
I am very close to being able to post images from Triskele Squared... I have yet to find the cable that came with my camera so that it can have polite converstion with my computer... I may break down and just buy a card reader... or take the one I used to have back from my daughter! I really like the spiral forms... I used ones inspired by Newgrange over a Sheela image, but I don't know if they will let me post that image on this site... Sheela ia such a rude lusty image!
Rivers full of wild salmon once ran clear to the ocean, waters that were unrestrained and unpolluted. The salmon make profound journeys. From their humble beginnings in freshwater rivers, they journey far to the oceans, adapting to the salty waters and transforming into fish of the sea. The mature salmon then swim upstream – a heroic effort, struggling against the rugged rapids and waterfalls to spawn–and then die in the place of their birth.
The Salmon are the wise sacred fish of the Celts, associated with the Aois Dana, the Poets of Ireland. Large, powerful, and embodying the fertile golden glow of the Sun in their flesh, inspirational in their courage and knowledge, the salmon are honored as sacred symbols of wisdom. The wisest and oldest of all the animals was the salmon of Llyn Llyw. “ I am a salmon in a pool” reads Amergin’s poem. In the Welsh myth, Taliesin–the wise poet, was fished from the salmon weir. In the Irish version, Finn acquires wisdom and the gift of prophecy from the Salmon of Knowledge.
Fish are indeed the oldest creatures. Life came from the sea, and more species live below the water than upon the land. To swim is to navigate the mysterious depths of the below.
Oisin.. Truly beautiful piece of stained glass. I assume yours. Funny enough I just wrote a piece about the Salmon of wisdom, or salmon of knowledge today for my publisher.
all the best, jen
I love 9 waves ! I used a similar motif in the suite of etchings that I used in my capstone show... I will try to post the images from that paper soon. My freinds call the phase I eantered with that work "Celtic Minimalism"... My prints are so different than my paintings... they are a little looser, or inthe case of the multi=plate etchings, have parts where the images are both obscured and enhanced by various aquatint plates.
